Biocentric Solutions' CombiSmart™ reader is a compact, stand-alone unit that utilizes a smart card to provide the highest level of security and functionality. The CombiSmart reader matches fin-gerprint data that is stored on a smart card with information from a live fingerprint. When the card is inserted, the CombiSmart reads the information and compares it to a fingerprint that is imaged on
the reader finger pad. Confirmation of a match is indicated on the unit's display window.

Transactional data is collected and stored in an embedded memory chip in the card and can also be used directly by the smart card in conjunction with a variety of security applications. The CombiSmart reader offers a solution to many applications from personal identification needs to complex network issues.
